Join our Community Nutcracker! ✨
Be part of the beginning of a new holiday tradition as Blackfoot School of Ballet presents Land of the Sweets Nutcracker. Performances take place the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Auditions are FREE and open to the public at the end of August. Rehearsals are held outside regular class times on Fridays, Saturdays, and select Tuesdays. Performance fees are only due after casting and role acceptance.

Nutcracker Auditions :
Be part of our growing community!
The tradition of our very own Bingham community Nutcracker.
Auditions are open to dancers and performers from eastern idaho area.
Why Audition?
- Gain valuable audition experience for future dance opportunities.
- Build confidence, responsibility, and stage presence.
- Perform alongside our Nutcracker cast.
- Open to both studio and community members.
Audition Dates: August 20–24
(Schedule announced by August 1.)
At Auditions
- Learn a short dance combination.
- Demonstrate technique (as required for desired roles).
- Costume measurements.
- Character audition for select acting roles.
Who Can Audition?
- Ages 4 through Adult
- Many roles require no previous ballet experience, while others are designed for trained dancers.
Rehearsals :
- Begin the second weekend of September
- Held primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, and select Tuesdays
Performances :
- Blackfoot Performing Arts Center
- Friday & Saturday, the weekend before Thanksgiving
Cast families attend a parent meeting before rehearsals begin 2nd weekend in September.
